Born in Exmouth in Devon, England, the geographer-turned-artist Tom Rook arrived in Taiwan in 2010 and never left. In Dragonflies Air, different cities worldwide become tethered insects. Our cover image was created after the artist’s visit to a wetland in Xindian, New Taipei City, and entices readers to rethink the human condition and the fate of inhabitants in a built environment that is changing rapidly.
