This drawing is an experiment of art creation and psychotherapy, selected from the Babel 101 series. The artist/radiologist sketches out the House-Tree-Person test, a psychological examination in which the test taker responds to or provides vague, abstract, or unstructured graphic stimuli. In this painting, Wu reminisces about a moment as a little boy where he was waiting for his mother to pick him up after a drawing class. Using heavy brushes and strong colors, he explores emotions that are not easily expressed or precisely captured with common language.
