Our congratulations go to EASTS" s Sean Hsiang-Lin Lei, whose book Neither Donkey nor Horse: Medicine in the Struggle over China's Modernity (University of Chicago, 2014) has been awarded the 2016 William H. Welch Medal by the American Association for the History of Medicine for outstanding scholarly merit in the field of medical history. (Past winners include EASTS's Warwick Anderson, an editorial board member and previously an associate editor.) Before Sean worked as an associate editor of EASTS in 2016, he had served the journal as an editorial board member since its inception.
